Bergs Potter Helena Terracotta Pot
The Helena Terracotta Pot is a classic tapered flowerpot with a scalloped clay border running just below the rim, giving it a quiet decorative detail that holds up across sizes and settings. The body is unglazed Galestro clay, handcrafted in small batches in Tuscany, with a naturally speckled, matte surface that weathers well outdoors and patinates with age. It comes in Grey and Rosa, each with the same raw, earthy base tone. Available in nine sizes from 8.5 cm to 30 cm in diameter, it scales from a single herb on a windowsill to a statement pot for a foliage plant indoors or on a balcony. Each pot comes with a matching saucer and has drainage holes for direct planting. Across the size range, it suits a wide variety of uses:
- Compact sizes (8.5 to 12 cm) work well for propagations, succulents, and small herbs like thyme or mint on a kitchen shelf or windowsill
- Mid sizes (14 to 21 cm) are a natural fit for rosemary, strawberries, compact flowering perennials, and leafy houseplants like pothos or fittonia
- Larger sizes (25 to 30 cm) handle statement indoor foliage plants, outdoor geraniums, or mixed herb plantings on a patio or balcony
The Helena collection is a range of terracotta planters defined by a scalloped clay rim, rooted in the pottery tradition of the Lazio region in Italy and reinterpreted by Steffen Berg. Designed in Denmark and handcrafted in Tuscany in small batches from Galestro clay, each piece carries natural variation. The collection includes a low herb dish and a tall rose pot, both built with drainage in mind for healthy root growth.
Helena is also available in a Tall Pot and a Low Pot.
From the Crafters:
The scalloped clay fringe along the top edge of the beautiful Helena Pot gives it a soft and classic look.
North of Rome in the Lazio region rests the small town of Di Bolsena, a place once filled with potters and the home of Roberto Rosso, one of Italy’s greatest potters. Inspired by ancient Greek designs, Rosso created pottery with distinctive clay borders, a popular feature throughout the 1800s. Fascinated by the idea of a decorative rim, Steffen Berg created our Helena Pot with the remarkable scalloped border to acquire a soft yet classic-looking flowerpot. Today, our Italian potters pay homage to Rosso’s masterpiece every time a new Helena Pot is moulded.

What Our Customers Say

This is definitely an excellent potting mix!
Once I replaced the mix of my alocasia with this, it started thriving and pushing out new sprouts. It's a chunky and airy mix so watering becomes more frequent but great for plants that hate wet feet and get root rot fast.

This is my third purchase of this potting mix, and it continues to impress. The drainage is excellent, and my plants have been growing healthier than ever.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. High-quality potting mix. Even though I definitely don't have green fingers. A reliable mix that makes plant care so much easier. Highly recommended.

Can't find a better soil mix to start my plant journey with! 2 weeks in and my plants are flourishing!

My alocasia stingray suffered from root rot and was attacked by mealy bugs. Potted an almost dead plant with just 1 yellowing leaf and few roots in this mix.
Today I cut off the last leaf and look, there is a sign of life. This potting mix is great. If I had known about this earlier, I would have fewer dead plants

Exactly 1 month since repot. This is a propagated anthurium and suffice to say, it absolutely loves the soil and the net pot.
I've had this plant since January and this is the first time it's growing 7 new leaves all at once! My only regret is that I wish bought a bigger pot because boy these roots grow fast!
— Gian J.
Excellent. Bought this as a recommendation from a friend and it works.

The soil is a good base and very suitable for adding amendments to suit the needs of your plant. I tried many soilless mixes, I like this one the most, for me it is the most versatile and easiest to use. Wish it came in a smaller 2L pack though. Good price and was delivered fast.

I'd highly recommend this potting mix as my alocasia roots grow very well and healthy in it. I'm also using it for other plant.
