Bergs Potter Helena Terracotta Tall Pot
- Colour:
- Rosa
- Diameter:
- 14 cm / 5.5 in
The Helena Terracotta Tall Pot takes the same scalloped rim as the rest of the Helena range and puts it on a noticeably taller, more upright body. The extra height gives it a more vertical silhouette compared to the standard pot, making it better suited to plants with deeper root systems or longer stems that benefit from the additional soil volume. Made from Galestro clay and handcrafted in Tuscany, the unglazed surface has a naturally speckled, matte finish that weathers well and looks equally at home indoors or on a sheltered balcony. It comes in Grey and Rosa, both in the same raw terracotta base. At 14 cm in diameter, it fits one plant comfortably. The taller profile makes it particularly well suited for:
- Hellebores and narcissus, which have longer root structures and carry tall stems that look proportionate against the pot's height
- Muscari, scilla, and other spring bulbs planted in clusters for a compact seasonal display on a table or windowsill
- Single-stem herbs like rosemary or upright basil, where the deeper soil volume supports steadier root development
The Helena collection is a range of terracotta planters defined by a scalloped clay rim, rooted in the pottery tradition of the Lazio region in Italy and reinterpreted by Steffen Berg. Designed in Denmark and handcrafted in Tuscany in small batches from Galestro clay, each piece carries natural variation. The collection includes a low herb dish and a tall rose pot, both built with drainage in mind for healthy root growth.
From the Crafters:
The scalloped clay fringe along the top edge of the beautiful Helena Pot gives it a soft and classic look.
North of Rome in the Lazio region rests the small town of Di Bolsena, a place once filled with potters and the home of Roberto Rosso, one of Italy’s greatest potters. Inspired by ancient Greek designs, Rosso created pottery with distinctive clay borders, a popular feature throughout the 1800s. Fascinated by the idea of a decorative rim, Steffen Berg created our Helena Pot with the remarkable scalloped border to acquire a soft yet classic-looking flowerpot. Today, our Italian potters pay homage to Rosso’s masterpiece every time a new Helena Pot is moulded.

This is definitely an excellent potting mix!
Once I replaced the mix of my alocasia with this, it started thriving and pushing out new sprouts. It's a chunky and airy mix so watering becomes more frequent but great for plants that hate wet feet and get root rot fast.

This is my third purchase of this potting mix, and it continues to impress. The drainage is excellent, and my plants have been growing healthier than ever.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. High-quality potting mix. Even though I definitely don't have green fingers. A reliable mix that makes plant care so much easier. Highly recommended.

Can't find a better soil mix to start my plant journey with! 2 weeks in and my plants are flourishing!

My alocasia stingray suffered from root rot and was attacked by mealy bugs. Potted an almost dead plant with just 1 yellowing leaf and few roots in this mix.
Today I cut off the last leaf and look, there is a sign of life. This potting mix is great. If I had known about this earlier, I would have fewer dead plants

Exactly 1 month since repot. This is a propagated anthurium and suffice to say, it absolutely loves the soil and the net pot.
I've had this plant since January and this is the first time it's growing 7 new leaves all at once! My only regret is that I wish bought a bigger pot because boy these roots grow fast!

Excellent. Bought this as a recommendation from a friend and it works.

The soil is a good base and very suitable for adding amendments to suit the needs of your plant. I tried many soilless mixes, I like this one the most, for me it is the most versatile and easiest to use. Wish it came in a smaller 2L pack though. Good price and was delivered fast.

I'd highly recommend this potting mix as my alocasia roots grow very well and healthy in it. I'm also using it for other plant.
