Bergs Potter Modena Terracotta Rustic Pot
- Colour:
- Rosa
- Diameter:
- 20 cm / 7.9 in
The Modena Terracotta Rustic Pot is a large, straight-sided cylindrical pot with a rolled rim, a subtly textured surface that shows horizontal brushmarks from the making process, and the hand-stamped mark pressed into the clay on every piece. The finish is raw, unglazed terracotta with a deliberately weathered, rustic appearance that reads differently from the smoother standard terracotta pots in the range. Available in Grey and Rosa. Each pot has a drainage hole and comes with a matching saucer. Available in five sizes from 20 cm to 40 cm in diameter, it covers a wide range from a compact indoor plant to a large outdoor specimen. The cylindrical form and breathable clay make it well suited for outdoor use on balconies, patios, and courtyards, and the larger sizes work equally well indoors as floor-level statement pots. The rustic surface and generous scale suit a specific group of plantings:
- Fig trees, rosemary standards, and compact fruit trees on a sunny balcony or courtyard, where the drainage hole and breathable raw clay support plants that prefer to dry out between waterings
- Large fiddle leaf figs and multi-stem indoor trees like schefflera or ming aralia, where the wide cylindrical opening accommodates an established root system without restricting growth
- Grouped in different sizes on a terrace or greenhouse floor, where the same rustic finish across multiple sizes creates a cohesive, botanical display
The Modena collection is a range of large cylindrical pots designed to house substantial plants indoors and outdoors. The raw terracotta version has a drainage hole and is suited for outdoor spaces including balconies, patios, and courtyards. The hand-stamped mark on each pot is a consistent detail across the collection.
From the Crafters:
Modena, our grand cylindrical flowerpot, is designed to house even the largest plants, with Berg’s signature stamp marking each pot as a symbol of quality.
The Modena pot is available in both raw terracotta and a durable, glazed finish. Crafted specifically for outdoor use, the raw terracotta version features a drainage hole, ensuring optimal drainage and aeration for plant roots—a perfect fit for balconies, patios, and courtyards.
For indoor use, the Modena cover pot in hand-glazed Emerald Green offers a striking presence. Designed without a drainage hole, it’s ideal for homes, heated greenhouses, and orangeries.

This is definitely an excellent potting mix!
Once I replaced the mix of my alocasia with this, it started thriving and pushing out new sprouts. It's a chunky and airy mix so watering becomes more frequent but great for plants that hate wet feet and get root rot fast.

This is my third purchase of this potting mix, and it continues to impress. The drainage is excellent, and my plants have been growing healthier than ever.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. High-quality potting mix. Even though I definitely don't have green fingers. A reliable mix that makes plant care so much easier. Highly recommended.

Can't find a better soil mix to start my plant journey with! 2 weeks in and my plants are flourishing!

My alocasia stingray suffered from root rot and was attacked by mealy bugs. Potted an almost dead plant with just 1 yellowing leaf and few roots in this mix.
Today I cut off the last leaf and look, there is a sign of life. This potting mix is great. If I had known about this earlier, I would have fewer dead plants

Exactly 1 month since repot. This is a propagated anthurium and suffice to say, it absolutely loves the soil and the net pot.
I've had this plant since January and this is the first time it's growing 7 new leaves all at once! My only regret is that I wish bought a bigger pot because boy these roots grow fast!

Excellent. Bought this as a recommendation from a friend and it works.

The soil is a good base and very suitable for adding amendments to suit the needs of your plant. I tried many soilless mixes, I like this one the most, for me it is the most versatile and easiest to use. Wish it came in a smaller 2L pack though. Good price and was delivered fast.

I'd highly recommend this potting mix as my alocasia roots grow very well and healthy in it. I'm also using it for other plant.
