Bergs Potter Københavner Glass Vase
The Københavner Glass Vase takes the tapered silhouette of the Københavner pot and renders it entirely in clear glass, made in partnership with a glass artisan workshop with over a century of expertise. The form is immediately recognisable: a wide, flared opening that narrows into a weighted base, with the same balanced proportions as the terracotta original. The glass is clear and thick-walled, giving it a solid presence on a table without competing with the flowers inside. At 15 cm / 5.9 in in diameter, the opening is generous enough to hold a full bouquet without clips or frogs. This is a cut flower vase with no drainage hole. The wide-mouthed opening makes it well suited for:
- Large, loose bouquets of tulips, dahlias, or mixed stems where the wide neck allows stems to spread naturally without bunching
- Structured arrangements of gladioli, delphiniums, or tall seasonal flowers that need a stable, heavy base to stay upright
- A single large-headed bloom like a hydrangea or peony displayed on its own, where the clear glass shows the full length of the stem as part of the composition
- It sits well as a centrepiece on a dining table or console, and the transparent body works with any colour palette.
The Københavner Vase is a glass interpretation of the Københavner pot, designed by Steffen Berg and shaped by the same royal heritage that inspired the original terracotta form in 1860. Produced in collaboration with a century-old glass workshop, it brings the same proportions and considered design into a new material, built for cut flowers rather than planted arrangements.
From the Crafters:
The Københavner Vase is a natural progression of Bergs Potter’s iconic Københavner pot. Designed by the second generation of Bergs, Steffen Berg, it draws inspiration from the majestic pottery made for the Royal Danish Palace of Fredensborg in 1860. Born in conjunction with a glass artisan workshop with a century of expertise, this vase is a tribute to accuracy and artistry. The Københavner Vase combines Bergs Potter’s design heritage with a new material blending royal pottery and modern glasswork.

This is definitely an excellent potting mix!
Once I replaced the mix of my alocasia with this, it started thriving and pushing out new sprouts. It's a chunky and airy mix so watering becomes more frequent but great for plants that hate wet feet and get root rot fast.

This is my third purchase of this potting mix, and it continues to impress. The drainage is excellent, and my plants have been growing healthier than ever.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. High-quality potting mix. Even though I definitely don't have green fingers. A reliable mix that makes plant care so much easier. Highly recommended.

Can't find a better soil mix to start my plant journey with! 2 weeks in and my plants are flourishing!

My alocasia stingray suffered from root rot and was attacked by mealy bugs. Potted an almost dead plant with just 1 yellowing leaf and few roots in this mix.
Today I cut off the last leaf and look, there is a sign of life. This potting mix is great. If I had known about this earlier, I would have fewer dead plants

Exactly 1 month since repot. This is a propagated anthurium and suffice to say, it absolutely loves the soil and the net pot.
I've had this plant since January and this is the first time it's growing 7 new leaves all at once! My only regret is that I wish bought a bigger pot because boy these roots grow fast!

Excellent. Bought this as a recommendation from a friend and it works.

The soil is a good base and very suitable for adding amendments to suit the needs of your plant. I tried many soilless mixes, I like this one the most, for me it is the most versatile and easiest to use. Wish it came in a smaller 2L pack though. Good price and was delivered fast.

I'd highly recommend this potting mix as my alocasia roots grow very well and healthy in it. I'm also using it for other plant.
