Bergs Potter Julie Terracotta Pot
The Julie Terracotta Pot is one of the most pared-back forms in the collection: a gently tapered pot with clean, straight lines, a slightly flared rim, and no decorative detail beyond the clay itself. The surface is raw, unglazed terracotta that darkens when wet and develops natural patina over time. Available in Grey and Rosa, both with the same speckled, matte finish. Sizes in this standard finish run from 8 cm to 25 cm in diameter, with a matching saucer included. Suited for indoor and outdoor use, the Julie's simple taper and neutral finish make it one of the most versatile pots in the range:
- Herbs like basil, thyme, and mint on a kitchen windowsill, where the compact sizes and drainage keep roots healthy without overwatering
- Succulents, echeverias, and cacti displayed in grouped clusters on a shelf or desk, where the stackable form lets multiple pots sit neatly together
- Trailing plants like plectranthus or creeping fig elevated on a pedestal or outdoor plinth, where the wide opening and tapered base frame the spill of foliage naturally
The Julie collection is a range of raw terracotta pots built around a single, unchanged silhouette designed in Milan in 1960. Handcrafted in Italy from premium clay, each pot comes with a saucer and has a drainage hole for healthy root growth. The design is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and the larger sizes are wheel-thrown and hand-stamped, preserving a traditional method of making.
Julie also comes in larger sizes that are hand-thrown resulting in a gorgeous rustic finish. Find them here.
From the Crafters:
When the designer Ninetta Mariani created the Julie Pot, she exclaimed: “It can’t be done simpler than this!” This was in Milan in 1960, and today we can only concur. Perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to take away from a design. In this simple yet charming pot, your plant will always be the centre of attention.
Our largest Julie Pots are wheel-thrown and stamped by hand – persistently preserving an ancient craft.

What Our Customers Say

This is definitely an excellent potting mix!
Once I replaced the mix of my alocasia with this, it started thriving and pushing out new sprouts. It's a chunky and airy mix so watering becomes more frequent but great for plants that hate wet feet and get root rot fast.

This is my third purchase of this potting mix, and it continues to impress. The drainage is excellent, and my plants have been growing healthier than ever.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. High-quality potting mix. Even though I definitely don't have green fingers. A reliable mix that makes plant care so much easier. Highly recommended.

Can't find a better soil mix to start my plant journey with! 2 weeks in and my plants are flourishing!
— H.K.
My alocasia stingray suffered from root rot and was attacked by mealy bugs. Potted an almost dead plant with just 1 yellowing leaf and few roots in this mix.
Today I cut off the last leaf and look, there is a sign of life. This potting mix is great. If I had known about this earlier, I would have fewer dead plants

Exactly 1 month since repot. This is a propagated anthurium and suffice to say, it absolutely loves the soil and the net pot.
I've had this plant since January and this is the first time it's growing 7 new leaves all at once! My only regret is that I wish bought a bigger pot because boy these roots grow fast!
— Gian J.
Excellent. Bought this as a recommendation from a friend and it works.

The soil is a good base and very suitable for adding amendments to suit the needs of your plant. I tried many soilless mixes, I like this one the most, for me it is the most versatile and easiest to use. Wish it came in a smaller 2L pack though. Good price and was delivered fast.

I'd highly recommend this potting mix as my alocasia roots grow very well and healthy in it. I'm also using it for other plant.
