Bergs Potter Cove Watering Tube
A slender, ribbed tube with a wide body that narrows to a pointed tip and opens to a small flared rim at the top, the Cove watering tube is modeled on the form of the cereus cactus, a desert plant known for storing water efficiently in its thick, ribbed stems. The ribbing runs vertically along the full length of the body, and the lower half tapers to a point designed to be pressed into soil. Available in three colours, Deep Burgundy, Misty Blue, and Sandstone, and in three volumes: 300 ml, 450 ml, and 700 ml. Made from a porous material, water seeps slowly through the walls and down into the root zone rather than sitting on the surface, which means the soil stays consistently moist without the risk of overwatering. To use, partially insert the tube into the soil of a medium to large indoor pot, fill with water through the open top, and leave it to work. Particularly good for:
- Plants that need consistent moisture but are sensitive to erratic watering, such as ferns, calatheas, and peace lilies
- Larger pots where hand watering tends to be uneven, as the slow release reaches roots more directly
- Grouping all three sizes across a collection of different pot sizes for a cohesive, considered look on a shelf or plant corner
- Adding a sculptural, botanical element to a pot since the ribbed form sits naturally among plant stems rather than standing out from them
Cove is inspired by the cereus cactus, a plant that evolved to hold water through long dry spells. Made from a porous material, it releases moisture slowly and steadily into the soil, keeping indoor plants hydrated between waterings.
From the Crafters:
Cove serves as a consistent and dependable source of hydration for indoor plants and is inspired by the natural water retention abilities and elegant shape of the cereus cacti, native to arid regions. The cacti have evolved remarkable water retention abilities to survive in harsh, dry climates. Easy to use. Simply bury Cove partially in the soil of medium- to large-potted plants, fill it with water, and let the water seep down to the roots of the plant.
Mimicking the shape of the cereus cactus, characterised by thick, ribbed stems specifically adapted for efficient water storage, the design ensures that Cove blends botanically with your plants while providing essential hydration. The porous structure of the material allows water to seep slowly, maintaining consistent soil moisture levels and promoting healthier plant growth. Available in three sizes — 300 ml, 450 ml, and 700 ml.
Cove provides consistent hydration for your indoor plants—bury it, fill it, and let your plants flourish effortlessly.

What Our Customers Say

This is definitely an excellent potting mix!
Once I replaced the mix of my alocasia with this, it started thriving and pushing out new sprouts. It's a chunky and airy mix so watering becomes more frequent but great for plants that hate wet feet and get root rot fast.

This is my third purchase of this potting mix, and it continues to impress. The drainage is excellent, and my plants have been growing healthier than ever.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. High-quality potting mix. Even though I definitely don't have green fingers. A reliable mix that makes plant care so much easier. Highly recommended.

Can't find a better soil mix to start my plant journey with! 2 weeks in and my plants are flourishing!
— H.K.
My alocasia stingray suffered from root rot and was attacked by mealy bugs. Potted an almost dead plant with just 1 yellowing leaf and few roots in this mix.
Today I cut off the last leaf and look, there is a sign of life. This potting mix is great. If I had known about this earlier, I would have fewer dead plants

Exactly 1 month since repot. This is a propagated anthurium and suffice to say, it absolutely loves the soil and the net pot.
I've had this plant since January and this is the first time it's growing 7 new leaves all at once! My only regret is that I wish bought a bigger pot because boy these roots grow fast!
— Gian J.
Excellent. Bought this as a recommendation from a friend and it works.

The soil is a good base and very suitable for adding amendments to suit the needs of your plant. I tried many soilless mixes, I like this one the most, for me it is the most versatile and easiest to use. Wish it came in a smaller 2L pack though. Good price and was delivered fast.

I'd highly recommend this potting mix as my alocasia roots grow very well and healthy in it. I'm also using it for other plant.
