Bergs Potter Celeste Terracotta Pot
- Colour:
- Rosa
- Diameter:
- 26 cm / 10.2 in
An hourglass-shaped terracotta pot with a wide, flared rim and a dramatically cinched waist that flares back out into a broad base, the Celeste is one of the most architecturally distinct pots in the collection. Wheel-thrown by hand, the surface carries fine horizontal throwing lines that give it a textured, organic quality. Available in three sizes from 26 cm to 39 cm in diameter, and in both Grey and Rosa terracotta. The wide opening accommodates plants that spread outward generously, and the elevated form means trailing plants like wire vine, string of turtles, or cascading ferns spill dramatically over the sides rather than sitting flat on a surface. The waterproof saucer that comes with each pot doubles as a lid, converting the piece into a standalone pedestal or side table when not in use as a planter. This makes it genuinely useful in a room even between plantings. Equally at home indoors in a living room or hallway, and outdoors in a garden or on a terrace. Consider these uses:
- As a floor-standing statement planter in the largest size, planted with a bold tropical like a philodendron or a bird of paradise
- As a pedestal for displaying a smaller pot, a sculptural object, or a bowl of fruit when the saucer is used as the lid
- Outdoors with seasonal flowering plants like forget-me-nots or nasturtiums, where the raised form gives low-growing plants unexpected presence
Celeste is a hybrid of a pot and a pedestal. Wheel-thrown from premium terracotta, its hourglass form was designed to give plants a presence that a flat surface never quite achieves. The waterproof saucer converts the whole piece into a pedestal or side table, making it as versatile as it is considered.
From the Crafters:
Celeste is a hybrid of a pot and a pedestal. The wheel-thrown masterpiece reimagines how to display and nurture precious plants. By combining the timeless elegance of a hollow pot with the versatile functionality of a pedestal, Celeste is designed to elevate your botanical haven to heavenly heights.
Handcrafted on the pottery wheel from premium terracotta, Celeste embodies the essence of traditional craftsmanship and durability. Its expertly sculpted hourglass-shaped pot design creates an elegant and nurturing environment for plants. The waterproof saucer effortlessly doubles as a lid to transform the set into a pedestal or side table, proofing the design’s versatility.
Elevate your botanical displays to new heights with Celeste, and watch your plants reach for the sky.

This is definitely an excellent potting mix!
Once I replaced the mix of my alocasia with this, it started thriving and pushing out new sprouts. It's a chunky and airy mix so watering becomes more frequent but great for plants that hate wet feet and get root rot fast.

This is my third purchase of this potting mix, and it continues to impress. The drainage is excellent, and my plants have been growing healthier than ever.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. High-quality potting mix. Even though I definitely don't have green fingers. A reliable mix that makes plant care so much easier. Highly recommended.

Can't find a better soil mix to start my plant journey with! 2 weeks in and my plants are flourishing!

My alocasia stingray suffered from root rot and was attacked by mealy bugs. Potted an almost dead plant with just 1 yellowing leaf and few roots in this mix.
Today I cut off the last leaf and look, there is a sign of life. This potting mix is great. If I had known about this earlier, I would have fewer dead plants

Exactly 1 month since repot. This is a propagated anthurium and suffice to say, it absolutely loves the soil and the net pot.
I've had this plant since January and this is the first time it's growing 7 new leaves all at once! My only regret is that I wish bought a bigger pot because boy these roots grow fast!
— Gian J.
Excellent. Bought this as a recommendation from a friend and it works.

The soil is a good base and very suitable for adding amendments to suit the needs of your plant. I tried many soilless mixes, I like this one the most, for me it is the most versatile and easiest to use. Wish it came in a smaller 2L pack though. Good price and was delivered fast.

I'd highly recommend this potting mix as my alocasia roots grow very well and healthy in it. I'm also using it for other plant.
