Bergs Potter Ada Terracotta Bowl
A wide, shallow terracotta bowl with a softly curved rim and a low, grounded profile, the Ada sits closer to a dish than a traditional pot. Wheel-thrown by hand in Italy from premium Italian clay, it comes in four sizes ranging from 30 cm to 45 cm in diameter, with heights between 9 cm and 14 cm, giving plants plenty of room to spread outward. Available in Grey and Rosa terracotta, the Grey carries a cooler, more muted tone that works well in modern and minimal interiors, while the Rosa reads warmer and earthier, sitting naturally alongside natural wood and linen. Both come with a matching saucer. The wide opening and shallow depth make it well suited for:
- Mixed herb arrangements: rosemary, thyme, and oregano fill the bowl generously and spill freely over the edges as they grow
- Flowering bulbs and low wildflowers, particularly in the larger sizes where multiple plants can be grouped together
- A single sculptural plant like Society garlic, dill, or a compact orchid arrangement for a more considered, minimal look
- Low-growing succulents arranged in clusters, particularly for a sunny windowsill or outdoor balcony display
Works just as well outdoors on a terrace or balcony as it does as a centrepiece on a dining or kitchen table. Being unglazed, the terracotta is naturally porous, meaning excess moisture evaporates through the walls rather than sitting in the soil. This makes it a particularly good home for herbs, succulents, and flowering bulbs that prefer well-drained conditions and are sensitive to overwatering. The clay walls also help buffer soil temperature, keeping roots cooler in warm weather.
Ada is the traditional name for adornment. Wheel-thrown from terracotta, soft in form and practical by nature, it was made to hold whatever is currently in bloom, in season, or simply growing well. Comes with a matching saucer.
From the Crafters:
ADA is the traditional name for ‘Adornment’. And is there anything more adorning than flowers in bloom or an abundance of fresh herbs? ADA is a wheel-thrown dish that complements every possible shade of floral adornment.
With its soft organic shape, the ADA dish is the perfect base for herbs and flower bulbs, encouraging you to create a fragrant centrepiece of freshly grown herbs for a beautiful table setting. The dish is specially moulded to appeal to all our senses with nature’s own ornaments and aromas.
The dish comes with a saucer and therefore makes a perfect botanical decoration for any table or an inviting seasonal decoration for the hallway console. ADA is able to hold both uncontrolled wildness and organic elegance — all at the same time.

This is definitely an excellent potting mix!
Once I replaced the mix of my alocasia with this, it started thriving and pushing out new sprouts. It's a chunky and airy mix so watering becomes more frequent but great for plants that hate wet feet and get root rot fast.

This is my third purchase of this potting mix, and it continues to impress. The drainage is excellent, and my plants have been growing healthier than ever.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. High-quality potting mix. Even though I definitely don't have green fingers. A reliable mix that makes plant care so much easier. Highly recommended.

Can't find a better soil mix to start my plant journey with! 2 weeks in and my plants are flourishing!
— H.K.
My alocasia stingray suffered from root rot and was attacked by mealy bugs. Potted an almost dead plant with just 1 yellowing leaf and few roots in this mix.
Today I cut off the last leaf and look, there is a sign of life. This potting mix is great. If I had known about this earlier, I would have fewer dead plants

Exactly 1 month since repot. This is a propagated anthurium and suffice to say, it absolutely loves the soil and the net pot.
I've had this plant since January and this is the first time it's growing 7 new leaves all at once! My only regret is that I wish bought a bigger pot because boy these roots grow fast!
— Gian J.
Excellent. Bought this as a recommendation from a friend and it works.

The soil is a good base and very suitable for adding amendments to suit the needs of your plant. I tried many soilless mixes, I like this one the most, for me it is the most versatile and easiest to use. Wish it came in a smaller 2L pack though. Good price and was delivered fast.

I'd highly recommend this potting mix as my alocasia roots grow very well and healthy in it. I'm also using it for other plant.
