Fernwood New Zealand Tree Fern Substrate
Fernwood New Zealand Tree Fern Substrate is made from the fibrous stem of the kuripaka, a native New Zealand tree fern, harvested by hand from sustainably managed private forests. The material is soft, spongy, and fibrous with a fine, dark brown texture visible in the pile. It holds moisture well without becoming waterlogged, drains freely, and is slow to break down, making it a long-lasting potting medium. Unlike bark-based substrates that can compact or go hydrophobic over time, tree fern fiber maintains its open, airy structure even when wet, giving roots consistent access to both moisture and oxygen. Available in 10L and 40L.

- Orchids: Used as a standalone potting medium or blended with bark, giving epiphytic roots the moisture and airflow they need without sitting in wet conditions between waterings

This is definitely an excellent potting mix!

Exactly 1 month since repot. This is a propagated anthurium and suffice to say, it absolutely loves the soil and the net pot.

The soil is a good base and very suitable for adding amendments to suit the needs of your plant. I tried many soilless mixes, I like this one the most, for me it is the most versatile and easiest to use. Wish it came in a smaller 2L pack though. Good price and was delivered fast.
